Detected Mar 5, 2026 10:28 AM EST · Resolved Mar 5, 2026 11:33 AM EST · Duration about 1 hour

Scaleway's Serverless Containers service in the nl-ams region experienced issues where containers were stuck in restart loops due to an unannounced change that converted user-configured health checks from readiness probes to liveness probes. This caused containers with failing health checks to continuously restart before they could properly initialize. Following scheduled maintenance, Scaleway's Serverless Containers in the nl-ams region experienced intermittent errors including TLS handshake failures, 502 errors, connection timeouts, and increased latencies due to load balancer connection saturation that caused backends to fluctuate between "up" and "down" states. The issue occurred in two phases totaling approximately 15 hours over two days, during which requests made during "down" phases were rejected. The problem was resolved by rebalancing backends and clearing idle connections to free up capacity, ensuring backends remained consistently available to receive traffic.
