Our engineers have addressed the disruption that impacted payment acceptance when using Mastercard on a mobile wallet. The fix for this is in the newest update of the Square Terminal and Register, which you can manually perform at your earliest convenience or the update will happen in the overnight update as long as your Terminal or Registers are on.

We appreciate your patience while our team worked to resolve this disruption.

Our engineers are continuing the process of testing a fix to address this disruption with Mastercard mobile wallet. We will continue providing updates as they occur. In the meantime, if you are encountering any difficulties with mobile wallet payments, the following workarounds apply:

* Use a physical card from our supported brands for dipping or tapping payments.
* When using Apple/Google Wallet or any other mobile wallet, we recommend trying a card from a brand other than Mastercard.

As a reminder, removing and re-adding the Mastercard payment method in Apple/Google wallets will not resolve the issue. The disruption is specific to some Mastercard transactions via mobile wallets.

We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we work on resolving this issue.

While we continue to wait on our Engineers to implement the fix that they have worked on there are some helpful tips we can provide:
• We recommend Sellers advise their Customers to use any physical card from any of our supported card brands to process Payments via dip or tap.
• Use a different card brand other than Mastercard to pay via Apple/Google Wallet or any mobile wallet.
• We also recommend that Sellers inform their Customers that removing the Mastercard payment method from Apple/Google wallets and re-adding it will not work.
