The disruption affecting the ability to capture payments in Offline Mode has now been resolved. Affected Sellers can now update their Square Registers to 6.20.2 or 6.21b13 (if using the beta version of Square applications) We thank you for sticking with us while our team worked on a fix.
We've identified an issue impacting the availability of Offline Mode on Square Registers running Square for Restaurants. Transactions will be declined regardless of whether sellers are able to reconnect to the internet within 24 hours.
Our Engineering Team has identified the root cause of this issue and will implement a fix in the upcoming automatic software update on Friday, July 7th, Pacific Time.
Please avoid processing transactions using Offline Mode until the fix is released. We'll provide another update once the issue is resolved.
