The fiber patch was replaced and service was restored between the University of North Georgia - Library Technology Center (NGAL) and University of North Georgia - Gainesville Campus (GAI). as of 12:53 a.m.

The fiber patch was replaced and the GSUALP to NGA span is back up. All services on the North Ring are working with protection.
No further interruptions are expected.
We are continuing to work on a fix for this issue.
During the brief outage, the original fiber span (NGAL-GAI) was repaired. Currently, the NGA-GSUALP span is down.
It appears that during troubleshooting, a fiber break between NGAL and GAI Zayo techs has taken down the wrong span and caused a brief outage for the University of North Georgia (NGA).
NGA is back online. Field techs are still working to resolve the fiber issues.

Zayo has been dispatched to the site to address the fiber optic cable disruption.
Zayo is working on a uni-directional fiber cut between the University of North Georgia - Library Technology Center (NGAL) and University of North Georgia - Gainesville Campus (GAI). The fiber cut started at 10:44 a.m.
