This incident has been resolved. The settings for Automatic Authorize and Capture for PayPal Express can now be re-enabled.
PayPal has resolved an issue related to slowness on Premium Checkout but, to avoid issues with orders going forward, we recommend performing the same steps we relayed previously:
1. Navigate to Settings > Payments > More Payment Types
2. Open the Alternative Settings under the PayPal settings
3. Under PayPal Payment Capture Settings > change from Automatic Authorize And Capture to Automatic Authorize, Manual Capture.
Please note that once this change is made, refunds to orders captured automatically can't be refunded in the Volusion admin dashboard. Make sure all orders are dealt with before making this change. If you need to, you can refund the order in PayPal and use an offline payment record to zero out the order in the Volusion Dashboard.
We will continue to post updates here as they become available.
We continue to see errors with PayPal payments and are continuing our investigation. The moment we have any new information, we will update you here.

We are receiving reports that some orders placed with PayPal are failing to capture the total amount of the order. The issue appears to only affect some PayPal orders. Other checkout methods are working as expected. Our team is currently investigating this issue and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
