Zapier's Code by Zapier service experienced a 44-minute outage caused by Lambda errors related to KMS key grant limits, preventing code steps from executing properly. Users encountered error messages stating "Lambda was unable to configure access to your environment variables, because you have reached the grant limit of your KMS key or execution role" when their automation workflows tried to run code steps. Zapier implemented a fix and began replaying affected tasks, with the service returning to normal operation.

A fix has been implemented and we are now monitoring the results. Code by Zapier steps that were failing with the environment variable error should now be running normally again.
We are continuing to watch closely to confirm full recovery, and any tasks that were affected during the disruption are being replayed. We’ll post a final update once we’ve confirmed the issue is fully resolved.
