Liquid Web and Nexcess Security and Compliance teams have received verified reports that the CNAME Targets issued to customer websites on Managed Wordpress, Managed WooCommerce, Managed Magento, and Flexible Cloudhosting plans have been flagged by Microsoft Defender. When accessing these website by using the CNAME Target in the Microsoft Edge web browser the visitor may be displayed an "unsafe browsing" warning message. We are working with Microsoft to remove the listing as quickly as possible and to locate the sources that lead to its publication. We will provide further updates as they become available. Customers who register their own domains for use with their production or staging websites on the managed platforms will not be affected by this issue. Visitors may also be able to access the CNAME Target by using a different web browser on their device. As a web hosting company, Liquid Web and Nexcess take security seriously and we do take action to suspend websites or accounts that violate our Acceptable Use Policy: https://www.nexcess.net/policies/acceptable-use-policy/ If you are unable to reach your website due to a security warning in your browser, or if you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Support team through any of the following channels: - Live Chat via Customer Portal: https://my.nexcess.net/ - Email: support@nexcess.net - Phone: 1-866-639-2377, 1-313-279-0722 (international). Our Security and Compliance teams have diligently worked with Microsoft and other providers to delist the affected CNAME Targets. We have made progress and will continue working to ensure the swiftest possible resolution.

This issue will not affect custom domains used on production or staging websites with our managed platforms. Sites in development that are not live and, therefore, depend on the CNAME may access the CNAME Target using a different web browser on their device.

Thank you for your continued support. We will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
