An AWS outage in the UAE region caused Asana services to become unavailable for users with data stored in the Middle East region, while other regions remained unaffected. The incident escalated from potential performance issues to major service unavailability lasting over 13 days. Asana resolved the issue by following AWS recommendations to move processing to other regions, restoring service for the small number of affected users.
