Incident Report

On November 4, 2025, an update of GravityZone inadvertently triggered an auto-installation of the firewall module for a limited subset of our MDR service customers, leading to firewall and blocklist rules affecting traffic on some endpoints. Endpoint protection and communications with GravityZone were not impacted and all other GravityZone services remained fully functional. Resolution: Our teams released an emergency fix at 17:12 UTC to stop the rollout of the firewall module to additional endpoints and are diligently working with affected customers to restore their previous firewall settings. Going Forward: We recommend our customers to check the firewall statuses on all their workstations and servers and reach out to Bitdefender support to get help restoring their firewall settings if needed. Current Status: Working with customers to restore firewall settings.
