Cisco Duo experienced 504 Gateway timeout errors for 2.9 hours when users attempted to access Microsoft Entra and Duo was called for multi-factor authentication. The issue affected the Core Authentication Service across all deployments, preventing users from completing their login process. The problem was resolved after Cisco deployed a fix and confirmed successful authentications were resuming.
The issue causing 504 gateway timeouts during Microsoft Entra logins when Duo MFA was called has been fully resolved. Authentication services are operating normally at this time.
