Dwolla Outage History

Dwolla experienced increased API 500 errors on the customers/{accountId}/transfers and accounts/{accountId}/transfers endpoints, affecting both the API and Dashboard functionality. The issue impacted users' ability to access transfer-related services through these endpoints. A fix was deployed after 25 minutes, resolving the errors and restoring normal service.

Dwolla experienced a delay in morning ACH transaction processing that affected webhook delivery and API transfer status updates for ACH credit and debit transactions. The incident impacted the Production API for 1.8 hours, causing delays in expected transaction status updates. The issue was resolved with all transfer statuses updated and webhooks delivered, with no impact to the 9:00 AM CT Same-day ACH export.

Dwolla's sandbox environment experienced degraded transfer search functionality through both the dashboard and API for 2.2 hours. The issue was isolated to the sandbox environment only and did not affect production services. The team identified a fix and successfully deployed it, restoring normal functionality to sandbox transfer searches.

Dwolla experienced an issue where instant payments were processing successfully but their status updates were not reflecting in the system, causing all instant payments to appear as "pending" to clients. The incident affected the Production API for 3.7 hours. The team applied a fix and processed the backlog of status updates, resolving all pending payment statuses.

Dwolla experienced a 10.6-hour delay in processing ACH transactions due to disruptions at the Federal Reserve, which prevented webhook delivery and API transfer status updates from occurring on schedule. Same-day ACH transactions that were scheduled to settle at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM CT were delayed until 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM CT respectively. The incident was resolved when all ACH transfer statuses were updated and related webhooks were delivered by 5:00 PM CT.
