AWS has confirmed ongoing network connectivity issues in the us-east-1 region, impacting services such as DynamoDB, SQS, and Amazon Connect. These disruptions have been traced back to the EC2 internal network, and AWS engineers are continuing to investigate and identify mitigation strategies as outlined on the AWS page: https://health.aws.amazon.com/health/status
Echo360 engineers are also seeing LMS platform instability across the education ecosystem due to this AWS event. Many of our partner LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, etc.) are themselves experiencing degraded service or outages. We recommend temporarily avoiding high-dependency LMS actions, such as course launch or grade passback, until AWS confirms full service restoration.

As of this update, we at Echo360 as well as our partner LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, etc.) are experiencing degraded services. We continue to recommend temporarily avoiding high-dependency LMS actions, such as course launch or grade passback, until AWS confirms full service restoration.
We are actively monitoring the situation and will continue to provide updates as AWS makes progress toward a full recovery.

We are seeing significant improvements in service stability as AWS continues to roll out mitigations across the us-east-1 region. Internal EC2 systems are beginning to recover in several Availability Zones, and error rates are steadily declining.
We are not yet seeing full recovery across all impacted services. EchoPoll, as well as our partner LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, etc.) may still experience intermittent disruptions as AWS completes its restoration efforts.
We are actively monitoring the situation and will post further updates as recovery progresses.

We continue to see improvements in service stability as AWS rolls out mitigations across the us-east-1 region. Instance launches are succeeding across multiple Availability Zones and error rates continue to decline.
We are not yet seeing full recovery across all impacted services. EchoPoll, as well as our partner LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, etc.) may still experience intermittent disruptions as AWS completes its restoration efforts.
