Some Microsoft SharePoint Online administrators were unable to access the SharePoint Online admin center, receiving "Sorry, something went wrong" error messages, and the top navigation suite bar failed to load across SharePoint sites for all users. The issue was initially region-specific to Australia but later expanded globally, lasting approximately 36.8 hours. Microsoft resolved the incident by identifying a problematic service update, redeploying a healthy version of the SharePoint Online service, implementing configuration changes to route requests to available endpoints, and addressing stale caching issues that prevented some users from receiving the initial fix.
