Title: Users may be unable to search for email or calendar items in Groups in Exchange Online
User impact: Users may be unable to search for email or calendar items in Groups in Exchange Online.
More info: This issue may impact any Groups search in the new Outlook desktop client and Outlook on the web; however, it could also impact additional connection methods where this feature is available. Specifically, when a user enters text into the search bar limited to a Group, no results are returned and there is no indication that the search action was processed. This occurs whether a user hits "Enter" or clicks on the search icon after entering text. General Outlook search isn't affected.
Current status: Our targeted fix has been developed and we're overseeing its deployment to ensure it alleviates impact. We anticipate this process will be completed and the issue will be alleviated by our next scheduled update.

Current status: After analysis of the HAR logs from a sample of impacted users, we've identified that a recent change intended to optimize data management resulted in an automatic update to the Groups Search feature. This update introduced a code change impacting the search functionality which is responsible for this issue. Current status: We've identified through our HAR log review that the search requests from Outlook aren't routing to the search API responsible for handling those requests. We're reviewing recent updates to the API and client to identify why this is happening.
