Intermittent 503 and dataroot errors

On Saturday 8/28, a configuration issue on a new application server caused a process to consume too much memory, which resulted in intermittent 503 and "dataroot not accessible" errors. We have identified the root cause of that configuration issue and addressed it across our platform.
Additionally, we are working on a system for our load balancer to avoid directing traffic to servers that are throwing these types of errors. We hope to have this rolled out by the end of the week.
