Outage Details

We have identified an intermittent issue impacting access to OU systems. We are working with our third-party provider to resolve the problem as a priority.

The symptom of the problem is you may get a 'Process failed' message appearing when trying to login to OU systems.

In most cases if you attempt logging in again, or using a different browser, you should be allowed access. This process may need to be repeated several times due to the intermittent nature of the fault.

If an urgent EMA /TMA needs to be submitted on the electronic-tutor-marked assignments (eTMA) system during this period:
• Attach the eTMA file to an email and send it to etma@open.ac.uk. Please only submit the eTMA by email if you are unable to do so via the website.
• In the subject field you must put your Personal Identifier number, your module code, and the tutor-marked assignments (TMA) number, all separated by a slash e.g. P1234567/B999/01.

We will share further updates soon and apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue.
