OVHcloud Outage History

OVHcloud's Cold Archive service in the RBX region experienced a major incident from November 7, 2025 to March 10, 2026 (approximately 4 months) due to an unexpected infrastructure malfunction. The incident initially caused archiving tasks to become stuck in "Archiving" state, preventing customers from archiving their data, and later resulted in significant processing delays and backlogs even after tasks resumed. The service was eventually restored, though customers requiring restoration of buckets stuck in "archiving" status during the incident needed to submit support tickets for manual processing.

OVHcloud's Data & Analytics service experienced a Kafka upgrade failure that prevented customers from upgrading from version 3.8 to newer versions, with attempts returning an error message. The incident affected multiple regions globally and was caused by an issue with OVHcloud's provider, lasting approximately 5.5 months from October 2025 to April 2026. Existing Kafka clusters continued operating normally during the outage, and customers could deploy alternative versions (3.9 or 4.0) in parallel while the upgrade path was being restored.
