Commerce Cloud Performance Degradation - Carts

The Salesforce Technology team made configuration adjustments by adding a few additional database nodes at which point the high memory usage came down to normal levels. We are monitoring the performance before declaring an all-clear.

Upon investigation, the team noted likely issues at the database tier wherein the team observed high memory usage for a few database nodes resulting in Search degradation for the Cart services. The team is exploring multiple paths to resolve the issue.

At 05:38 UTC on November 04, 2022, the Salesforce Technology team became aware of the performance degradation, impacting POD138 of the Commerce Cloud production environment. During this time, customers can place the Orders, however, while using the search functionality, customers can’t search for the Orders that were placed. Please note that Storefronts are not impacted as a result of this incident. We are exploring multiple paths to resolve the issue.
