There’s a Salesforce service feature disruption. During a feature disruption, end users sometimes can’t access certain aspects of the service. We’re investigating the issue and an update will be provided in 30 minutes or sooner if we have more information.

Initial reports are showing positive improvements to the Salesforce Chat service following the restart of the unhealthy backend service. Production instances have been confirmed to be out of impact at this time. A number of sandbox instances may still be seeing impact but should be resolved within the next hour.

The Salesforce Technology team is continuing to restart the unhealthy backend service. Engineers are confident that this path to resolution will be successful but are also investigating additional paths should this not yield the desired results.

The Salesforce Technology team is in the process of restarting a backend service, which became unhealthy. It is estimated that the restart and validation will take 2 hours to complete.

At 10:40 UTC, on January 20, 2024, the Salesforce Technology team became aware of a feature disruption issue impacting Salesforce Chat. During this time customers are unable to access the feature. Customers are not receiving a particular error message at this time but will see that the feature will be stuck in a loading state. Engineers have identified mitigation steps that are being taken to resolve this issue.
