Splunk is actively monitoring an ongoing operational issue in the AWS US-EAST-1 (N. Virginia) region that is causing intermittent service degradation across multiple AWS services and impacting several Splunk Cloud Platform environments.

We are aware of an outage impacting multiple AWS services in the US-EAST-1 region. This is affecting several Splunk Cloud Platform environments that rely on these AWS services. Splunk users may experience delays or errors in search execution, data ingestion, or app functionality for stacks hosted in the affected AWS region (US-EAST-1).
According to AWS, they have narrowed down the source of the network connectivity issues to an internal subsystem responsible for monitoring the health of their network load balancers.
