Disruption to PIN code entry

Our engineers have released a new version of the SumUp Business app, version 3.122.1.

Please update the SumUp Business app to the latest version - this should resolve the issues and allow you to enter your PIN.



We will continue to monitor the situation and share any relevant updates or information on this status page.

We are still investigating the issue and looking for a solution. We will share updates here as soon as we have them.

In the meantime, if you are unable to key in your confirmation PIN, you can use Biometrics to approve activities instead.

• To set up Biometrics, please open your SumUp Business app and tap on the profile icon in the top right-hand corner.


• From here, select Login and security.


• Tap on your linked device, and then enable Use Biometrics to approve activities.

By setting up Biometrics, you will be able to approve actions on your account with a simple face scan, rather than having to enter your PIN.

Our engineering team has found the cause of the PIN problem and is working to return our services to normal.

We are aware that some users may be experiencing issues entering their PIN code in the SumUp Business app.

This issue is mainly affecting those using iPhone X.
