We are aware of an issue with some users getting a message "enter payroll service key". Customers can sync their license by going to HELP->MANAGE MY LICENSE->SYNC LICENSE DATA ONLINE. We are working to address this issue as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.

This issue has now been resolved. If you are still prompted to "enter payroll service key" when running payroll, please update your product to 2023.

If you are prompted to "enter payroll service key" when running payroll. Please update your product to 2023.

If you are on a 2023 and being prompted to “enter payroll service key”, please restart your QuickBooks and that should resolve the issue. If the issue persists and prompts to “enter payroll service key”, select the cancel button, exit employee center and manually sync your license by going to HELP - MANAGE MY LICENSE - SYNC LICENSE DATA ONLINE. Once completed you can go back to the Employee Center and run payroll.
