Connections to databases hosted in a subset of this region may result in an error or timeout. Current Status: We have identified that during a brief period of time an underlying network infrastructure has suffered with power issues, resulting in a downstream impact for SQL Database in East US region. We have undertaken multiple workstreams to recover impacted instances including rebooting affected instances. We are seeing positive signs of recovery in both the underlying infrastructure and some of the SQL DB instances. We are actively engaged in mitigating any residual impact to ensure a complete resolution. The next update will be provided in 60 minutes, or as events warrant.
