Incident Report

Dear Customer,

On Friday 17th October at 09:00 (GMT+1) we will update the SSL certificate for Creditsafe’s GGS API (https://webservices.creditsafe.com/). This change may require action to be taken by your IT department and could result in an interruption of service if no action is taken.

We strongly recommend sharing this information with your IT department or corresponding function.

Many customers will not notice this update however, your requirement to take action depends on the specifics of your system configuration. Unfortunately, Creditsafe has no visibility of the specific customers this will affect – but users of one of our endpoints (wsHTTP ) will need to have their certificate key updated to the new certificate key in their application configuration.

What needs to be done?
Your IT department should investigate if your system will be affected by the upcoming certificate update, and if so, plan to take the necessary actions with help from the certificates provided on the website linked below. Please ensure the certificates are installed on all systems consuming the GGS web service to continue successful communication with our API.

The link below contains the new SSL certificates for this API and will be available from Wednesday, 1st October:

https://sslportal.creditsafe.com/

At the above URL you will find a link to the certificate bundle (P7B) for webservices.creditsafe.com. This bundle contains four different certificates:

  1. AAA CA Root Certificate (Root Certificate)
  2. USERTrust RSA Root xSigned using AAA CA (Cross Signed Certificate)
  3. Sectigo RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA (Intermediate Certificate)
  4. https://webservices.creditsafe.com/

Please note there is no change to the intermediate and root certificates, so it is unlikely you will need to install certificates 1, 2 & 3 as the systems that require them will already have them installed.

Certificate 4 will need to be installed, and we recommend you do this simultaneously with Creditsafe’s update on Friday 17th October at 09:00 (GMT+1) to avoid any interruptions in the connection to our GGS web service.

Still have questions?
If you have any questions regarding this update, please contact your local support team. Please note that Creditsafe will not be able to decide whether you need to install this certificate or not.

Best Regards
The Creditsafe Team
