Transaction Instability in Egypt – Fawry

We are currently observing a drop in conversion rates for transactions processed through Fawry in Egypt. The issue started on July 7 around 17:06 (UTC) and is related to a wider disruption affecting banks and telecom infrastructure in Cairo region. While Fawry initially reported no impact on their services, they are further investigating the situation currently. Partial transaction traffic continues, but overall conversion remains significantly below expected levels. We remain in contact with the partner and continue to monitor the situation closely.
