Outage Details

Following our previous update monitoring has confirmed that there have been no more call failures since the changes were made to the final network node.
Voice, SMS and Data services are now all working as expected.
For any users still experiencing issues a devices restart is recommended. If issues persist, please contact the service desk.
A full investigation is ongoing by 3UK to determine the full route cause.

Following our previous update. 3UK have confirmed that overnight monitoring shows call failure numbers have reduced to less than 1%.
The small number of failures still occurring have been linked to 1 specific network node which is in the process of being restarted.
3UK and Gamma continue to monitor the network as traffic levels increase into the working day.

Following our previous update, 3UK have confirmed traffic levels have now returned to “near” BAU conditions following additional changes to network components. 
A plan is in place overnight to restart additional network nodes to ensure full service resolution as we progress into the working day tomorrow.
We thank you for your patience during this incident. Our engineers along with 3UK will continue to monitor the network overnight.

Following our previous update, 3UK have confirmed the recent changes have had a positive impact on voice and SMS services.
Engineers are still seeing some calls fail over 2 specific network nodes and work is underway to restart them one at a time.
3UK are also working on additional actions to be completed overnight to restore BAU service for tomorrow morning.

Following on from our previous update, 3UK have observed a small improvement following changes made on their network nodes.
Additional changes are being considered and tested and engineers continue to monitor the network.

Following on from our previous update we have seen another small improvement to voice services however the vast majority of users are still impacted.
3UK are performing additional component restarts as well as investigating other methods to reduce congestion.

Following our previous update, 3UK have seen a small reduction in call failures since the previous changes.
Additional components will be restarted over the next 30-60 minutes with the goal of improving congestion and restoring voice and SMS services.
Data services continue to work as normal.

Following our previous update, 3UK continues to work on the issues impacting voice and SMS services.
A rolling restart of impacted network nodes is being performed to try and improve service.
3UK continue to assess the impact to emergency service calls.

Following our previous update, 3UK continue to work to identify the cause of the voice issue.
We can now also confirm that SMS is impacted and a small number of SMS messages sent over 4G may fail. SMS messages will automatically retry for 24 hours.
Engineers continue to monitor the network and work to reduce congestion across the impacted components.

Following our previous update, voice calls remain impacted due to the ongoing issue with 3UK. 
Engineers at 3UK believe they may have identified a component causing the issue and are working on a plan to isolate and shut it down.
Data and SMS services are working as expected.

Following our previous update, 3UK continue to investigate the route cause impacting voice calls.
Congestion remains on various network elements and engineers continue to investigate solutions to reduce the impact.
3UK have performed some network changes and monitoring is now ongoing to assess the impact of these changes.
The impact to emergency service calls continues to be assessed by 3UK.
Data and SMS services are working as expected.

Following our previous update, our 3rd party carrier, 3UK, has confirmed a critical incident is ongoing impacting 3G and 4G voice calls.
Engineers are engaged and are investigating various network components to identify the route cause.
3UK are reviewing options for rerouting traffic to reduce congestion on the working components.
The impact to emergency service calls is being assessed by 3UK.
Data and SMS services are currently working as expected.

We are currently receiving reports of inbound/outbound call issues for Mobile. 3UK have advised that 27% of their user base will be affected. We are continuing to engage with them for further updates. We will provide the next update at 10:00.
