Outage Details

This evening, Southern Crossroads ,the GT Internet service provider, conducted a maintenance to reboot a router affecting one of Georgia Tech’s 400-gigabit links to the Internet. Following the reboot, most campus services were restored; however, services that rely on connectivity to Azure remain impacted. The services include fresh logins to mail.gatech.edu, Federation Services, docs.oit.gatech.edu. The issue has been traced to SoX’s connectivity with Internet2, which provides the pathway for our Azure services.

SoX is actively collaborating with Internet2 to identify and resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We will provide updates as we receive more information. Thank you for your patience and understanding as this matter is addressed.
