Outage Details

HUIT has received reports of members of the Harvard community receiving a scam SMS from an 833-area code number with the message: “HARVARD UNIVERSITY: Your Office 365 account now requires passkey authentication. Reply with 1 to set this up.” This message is a phishing attempt and not a legitimate communication from Harvard. If you receive this message, do not respond: please report it as junk and delete it.
