User impact: Users can't authenticate using the Authenticator app when signing into Microsoft 365 services in some browsers.
More info: When affected users attempt to utilize the Authenticator app when signing in through Microsoft Edge or Chrome, they receive an error which states the following:
"We sent a sign-in request to a Microsoft app you use for approving sign-in request, but we didn't get your approval."
As a workaround, affected users can sign in using a browser other than Microsoft Edge or Chrome, or users can authenticate through one of the following methods:
- Password
- OneTimeCode
- Passkey
Current status: We're validating a fix to remediate impact and expect that deployment will be complete by the time of our next update.
