More info: The following list isn't exhaustive, but provides examples of how users may be impacted by this event:

Exchange Online: Users may be unable to connect to Exchange online through the Outlook desktop client, Outlook on the web, or Outlook mobile. Users may see an endless loading screen or an error.

Microsoft 365 admin center: Admins may be unable to connect to the admin center through admin.microsoft.com.

Microsoft Teams: Users may be unable to access Microsoft Teams.

Users may experience authentication issues that prevent them from accessing other Microsoft 365 apps.

Current status: The service is continuing to recover, and we're monitoring for an extended period to ensure complete restoration.

Scope of impact: Any user located in Canada attempting to access Microsoft 365 services may be affected.

Preliminary root cause: A portion of networking infrastructure entered an unhealthy state in Canada, which prevented users located in this region, or users whose traffic was routed through this region, from accessing Microsoft 365 services as expected.

More info: Users may experience impact in the following services:

Exchange Online: Users may be unable to connect to Exchange online through the Outlook desktop client, Outlook on the web, or Outlook mobile. Users may see an endless loading screen or an error.

Microsoft 365 admin center: Admins may be unable to connect to the admin center through admin.microsoft.com.

Microsoft Teams: Users may be unable to access Microsoft Teams.

Users may experience authentication issues that prevent them from accessing other Microsoft 365 apps.

Current status: We identified a networking issue in Canada that caused Microsoft 365 services to enter an unhealthy state. We're continuing to investigate what initially caused this issue, and in parallel we've applied a mitigation, which has begun to restore service functionality. We're continuing to monitor our telemetry to ensure the service fully recovers as expected.

Scope of impact: Any user located in Canada attempting to access Microsoft 365 services may be affected.
