Internet & UA Service Outage

We are pleased to report that all UA Network Services should be fully functional again. We've received word that the Fiber is repaired, and ACS will be organizing service migrations sometime this week. Thank you again for your patience during this incident.

Maintenance was performed yesterday evening that re-routed our internet2 services to an alternative infrastructure. As of now, all UA services should be operational. We are continuing to monitor the situation, and are awaiting updates on the repair to our main circuits. We appreciate your patience and understanding as these temporary fixes were implemented.

We have received notice that the core outage is due to a physical break in our undersea cables out of Oregon. We would like to note that since our current fix is temporary, service will continue to be degraded. This may include general network slowness and congestion, and will be particularly noticeable to VPN users. We appreciate your patience as we await an estimated time of repair.

A temporary fix has been put in place, and most services should be operational. We will continue to update as further info about the core outage is available and full service is returned. Thank you again for your patience!

We are currently investigating issues reported with the Internet on-campus as well as UA services from off-campus. We have reached out to our internet provider and are monitoring a potential resolution. We apologize for the delayed update on our Status page, thank you for your patience!
