Blackboard, Canvas, Amazon Web Services Outage

There have been no updates to Blackboard's status, but Canvas has remained stable and reachable. Blackboard is still monitoring the stability of their fixes, and their current status can be found here: https://status.blackboard.com/

We are maintaining a 'monitoring' status until they report all-green.

UA's Canvas instance is now available and operational, resolving the major component issues we have been tracking here. Blackboard is still monitoring the stability of their fixes, and their current status can be found here: https://status.blackboard.com/

There is no new information available at this time-- thank you for your patience as we continue to monitor the situation. You can expect further updates at 1-hour intervals.

AWS states that it has mitigated the main problem, and many services are recovering-- the services listed here still appear to be in a unavailable and degraded states. We will continue reporting until a full resolution has been reached. You can expect another update in one hour; thanks so much for your time!

Qualtrics and Digication are also affected by the AWS outage.

Instructure Canvas appears to also be affected by this outage and the UAF instance is fully unavailable at this time.
