OneTrust's APP-DE environment experienced an issue where historical email notifications from March 3rd onwards were being re-transmitted to users, causing confusion as these emails appeared to relate to outdated activities like assessments and data subject requests. The problem affected the Admin Portal component and was caused by the reprocessing of earlier notification events rather than new system activity. Engineering teams investigated the root cause and implemented measures to prevent further unintended notifications, with the incident lasting 8.3 hours.
We are currently investigating an issue impacting customers in the APP-DE environment, where previously generated email notifications from 3 March onwards are being re-transmitted. These notifications may relate to historical activities, such as assessments, data subject requests, or other system events, and may appear unexpected or no longer relevant.
This behaviour is not the result of any new activity within your environment, but rather the reprocessing of earlier notification events. As a result, some users may receive emails that do not reflect recent actions.
