At this time, the situation remains unchanged. Handpoint continues to be impacted by the nationwide power outage in Spain, following the declared state of emergency. The outage has disrupted the AWS DirectConnect connection to Handpoint’s data center, affecting transaction processing capabilities.

This event remains classified as a force majeure situation beyond Handpoint’s control, and there is still no estimated time for power restoration. Resolution efforts depend on Spain’s national grid operator.

We have been informed by our partner, Handpoint, that their system is currently impacted by the nationwide power outage in Spain, where a state of emergency has been declared. This outage has disrupted the AWS DirectConnect connection to Handpoint’s data center, thereby affecting their ability to process transactions. Handpoint has classified this as a force majeure event, entirely beyond their control, and they currently do not have an estimated time for power restoration. The resolution of this issue is dependent on Spain’s grid operator.
