Outage Details

When announcing services in a new Boston PoP with Comcast connectivity, we inadvertently pulled all global Comcast, Comcast customer, and Comcast peering traffic, which overloaded the servers in Boston, and caused an outage. We've e-mailed the Comcast team to find out why this is happened despite our usage of BGP communities to treat this new PoP as "equal" to our existing PoPs with Comcast connections. We apologize for the inconvenience. Issue Start: 14:45 UTC, May 26 Issue Stop: 15:15 UTC, May 26
