Outage Details

Due to a bug in Windows Cloud Agent 6.2, our team has identified an issue where the Windows agent is making frequent CAPI calls (every few seconds), which is causing a high load on QAGPublic. This issue affects all Windows Cloud Agents operating version 6.2 with the PM module enabled and if any jobs are running or scheduled at the time during the upgrade from version 6.1 to CA 6.2. This impact occurs only once and after re-enabling the PM module on the affected Windows agents, users will no longer experience this issue. A hot fix for Windows Cloud Agent version 6.2 will be available next week after testing and verification is completed. Our Qualys Cloud Operations team is going to remove Windows Agent 6.2 as the GA version for the time being and perform a one time cleanup operation post the removal of the binary from the platform to de-activate and re-activate the PM module on all affected Windows agents across all shared platforms. No data loss is expected with this cleanup. Users may need to re-run jobs for any assets with jobs currently stuck in pending status post the cleanup activity. The ticket reference for this incident is IM-12222.
