Issues accessing third-party apps

This incident has been resolved. A post-mortem will be posted on this page next Wednesday, July 10th by 5:00 PDT.

All third-party groups affected by this incident have been audited for accuracy (group membership matching between the Rippling group and the third-party group). Any customers with groups failing our audit due to authorization issues or other API errors are being remediated directly with the customer and the third-party app.

We understand the outsized impact this had on business operations for our customers and apologize for failing our mission to free smart people to work on hard problems.

More than 99% of group membership updates have been propagated to third-party apps and audited for accuracy.

A minority of updates are pending and we are continuing to work directly with those impacted customers. We will confirm once all updates have been processed and this incident can be considered resolved.

To currently address any access issues, administrators can update group membership rules in Rippling. Please note that Rippling will overwrite these group rules with their state at June 29 2024 12:30 AM PDT.

An update to third-party groups was erroneously propagated. We are continuing to work on a fix to revert all affected groups in third-party apps to their prior state.
