After monitoring performance and completing health checks, the team has confirmed that services have been restored as of 13:00 UTC, and customers are no longer impacted by the issue. Investigations show that the issue is resurfacing every few hours. Our team is working to identify and plan a course of action should the impact reoccur.

The engineering team has observed that the service's autoscaling is functioning as expected; however, it is not able to match the fluctuations in resource utilization due to sudden increases in requests. The team is looking for other mitigation paths.

Further investigation has shown that the issue is intermittent and presents itself periodically following an increase in traffic. The team is working to understand the trigger of the issue and any mitigation steps that can be taken.

Upon further investigation, the Salesforce Technology team has determined that the start time of impact is different than initially understood. We have now revised the start time of the Trust post to more accurately reflect the time customers may have begun to experience impact. We apologize for any confusion caused by this.

At 08:50 UTC on January 20, 2025, customers using the Field Service feature began experiencing issues with various operations, such as create, drop, and schedule. When attempting to perform operations, customers may see an error message such as "Unable to connect to the server (transaction aborted—timeout)." The Salesforce Technology team is actively investigating this issue.
