Salesforce experienced a 6.6-hour feature disruption affecting Data Cloud activations across a large number of instances spanning multiple regions including the US, Canada, Brazil, Singapore, Australia, Germany, and Sweden. The root cause was traced to a third-party cloud storage service used in the Prod1 CDP1 environment, which caused errors impacting end users' ability to access certain service features. Resolution involved applying a configuration change to the affected storage service and preparing an alternate storage option, while working directly with the third-party provider to address the underlying cause.
