We've identified the cause as a Microsoft Azure outage affecting App Service in the West US region. Since 3:21pm AEST (05:21 UTC), customers may see intermittent HTTP 500 errors, timeouts, or slow response times. Microsoft is working on a resolution and we're monitoring closely.
