Outage Details

Between 4:09 PM and 8:43 PM PDT, we experienced connectivity issues affecting some RDS Proxy instances in the US-EAST-1 Region. The root cause was internal throttling that prevented RDS Proxy from retrieving the credentials needed to create new database connections. Existing database connections were unaffected. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.
