ProPay Incident - Temporary Disabling of Flash Funds

The safety of your merchant accounts is our highest priority. As a temporary security measure, we find it necessary to disable the Flash Funds feature on all accounts. We sincerely apologize for the loss of this feature and hope to restore it as soon as possible. This has no effect on the ability of account owners to perform normal bank transfers. In the interim, if any of your customers want to utilize Flash Funds, they may call our Customer Service line to speak with an agent and perform a higher level of manual verification, after which we will temporarily enable it on the individual account to permit the transfer.

SEV3 (Medium) ProPay Canada Transaction Settlement Issue

ProPay has identified some transactions for our Canadian partners and merchants from November and December that were not settled in expected timeframes. Merchants and partners were still funded for the transactions, but cardholders were not charged and funds were not received by ProPay. Those transactions have now been submitted for settlement, which may result in cardholder inquiries regarding these transactions posting later than expected. ProPay support teams are working to gather and communicate more specific details to affected partners and merchants to assist in handling these inquiries. We are working to implement improved processes and monitoring to detect and resolve similar such issues in the future, and apologize for the related impact.

SEV4 (Low) ProPay AMEX Merchant Descriptor Issue

We are aware of an issue where some AMEX cardholders are seeing incorrect merchant descriptors. Our teams have determined that this is due to a recent change in AMEX industry groupings for Merchant Category Codes related to utilities, insurance, real estate, education, some government and charitable organizations. Our teams will be working to implement necessary changes to ensure correct industry groupings and merchant descriptors are used to address this issue.
