Facebook Messenger Permission not returned from the API

We have implemented the fix on our end and completely restored Messenger functionality on all the affected accounts.

We implemented a workaround to fix the issue on our end without waiting for Meta to fix the problem on the API. We're now recovering all the integrations that got affected by the problem, and will provide further updates soon.

We are working on a temporary fix to work around the API issue, and allow all merchants to use their Facebook Messenger integrations anyway. We will update once the fix on our end or Meta's end is implemented.

The Meta API is not returning the permission to access the Messenger feature.
Because of this API issue, any account connecting or reconnecting their Facebook integrations might lose access to the Facebook Messenger functionality temporarily. We are reporting the issue to Meta and investigating if there's any action we can take ourselves to mitigate the issue.
