Outage Details

We are currently experiencing some technical issues with the eTMA system which means you may not be able to submit a TMA or EMA at the moment.

If an urgent EMA/TMA needs to be submitted on the electronic-tutor-marked assignments (eTMA) system during this period:
• Attach the eTMA file to an email and send it to etma@open.ac.uk. Please only submit the eTMA/EMA by email if you are unable to do so via the website.
• In the subject field you must put your Personal Identifier number, your module code, and the tutor-marked assignments (TMA) number or (EMA number 30 or 31), all separated by a slash e.g. P1234567/B999/01.

Please note that the email submission of the TMA/EMA isn’t immediate and there will be a delayed receipt. If there’s no email receipt within 12 hours, the submission has been unsuccessful. For this reason, if submitting by email plenty of time should be allowed for the EMA/TMA to be received.

For help submitting your EMA/TMA by email contact Computing Helpdesk on +44 (0)1908 653972. Visit https://help.open.ac.uk/contact to find our opening hours or to start a Web Chat. Please don’t email EMA/TMA directly to tutors.

We are working to resolve the problem as quickly as we can. Please accept our apologies for any concern or inconvenience caused by this issue.

If you are experiencing issues, such as seeing error messages, when submitting a TMA/EMA and refreshing the page doesn't resolve the issue then:

- Try clearing/deleting cookies in your web browser

alternatively, if you prefer

- Try submitting the TMA/EMA using private browsing mode such as incognito mode

In most cases this should allow you to submit the TMA/EMA online.

If you still have problems being unable to submit after following the above steps then email submission is possible.
