Plaid Outage History

Wells Fargo experienced downtime that disrupted all Plaid connections, preventing users from adding new accounts and blocking API calls for data retrieval. The outage lasted 3.4 hours and affected all channels and data recipients using Wells Fargo through Plaid's service. The incident was resolved once Wells Fargo restored their systems.

Plaid's Transfer API experienced degradation for 4.9 hours due to FedACH reporting delays in ACH file delivery and settlement, which caused delays in ACH transfers. The production API was affected during this period. The incident was resolved after monitoring the situation to minimize client impact.

Plaid's Transfer API experienced a 3.3-hour degradation that delayed Same-Day ACH and Standard ACH payment processing due to a FedACH outage. While transfer creation requests via /transfer/create continued to be accepted normally, the actual processing of these payments was temporarily delayed. The incident was resolved with delayed same-day transfers posting and settling in the second same-day window around 5pm ET.

Plaid's Instant Payment Transfer rails experienced delays affecting Instant Payouts (RTP and FedNow) and Request for Payments functionality, while ACH transfers remained unaffected. The incident impacted the production API for 22 minutes before being resolved.
