There’s a performance degradation impacting Tableau Cloud. Tableau engineers are currently working on a solution to resolve user impact. During a performance degradation users can access the Tableau service, but some functionality can be unavailable or running at less than optimal performance. General and intermittent slow performance, timeouts, and connectivity issues are possible. We thank you for your patience. We’ll provide an update in 30 minutes or sooner if additional information becomes available.

The Technology team has implemented a workaround by turning off the third-party vendor agent service followed by a restart of the impacted servers. The Technology team is seeing positive results with the workaround that was implemented on a subset of instances across multiple impacted Clouds. Simultaneously, the third-party vendor continues working on developing a permanent fix. The team is progressing with implementing the workaround for the rest of the impacted instances.

At 04:56 UTC on July 19, 2024, the Salesforce Technology team noted a performance degradation impacting multiple instances. A subset of customers may experience intermittent connectivity issues while accessing Tableau Cloud.
Initial investigations suggest that the issue is due to a third-party vendor’s issue. The team is coordinating with the vendor to investigate further.
We’ll provide an update upon significant update, or sooner if additional information becomes available.
