We will provide additional information upon significant update.
The restarts are progressing, and we are seeing positive results. Customers who are known to be affected and whose restarts have completed are no longer affected by this issue. The team will continue to perform manual restarts. Automated restarts across all PODs are also actively happening.
We’ll provide an update in 60 minutes or sooner if additional information becomes available.
The manual restarts began at approximately 16:45 UTC and this activity is focused on where the team had seen errors. In parallel the team is working on automated restarts across all impacted PODs to ensure full resolution of the issue.
We’ll provide an update in 30 minutes or sooner if additional information becomes available.
The Technology team is performing manual application restarts to bring customers out of impact as quickly as possible. As only a subset of customers are affected by this issue, the team is prioritizing restarts for customers known to be affected by the issue.

Approximately 10 days ago, Apple Pay certificates that were due to expire on September 14, 2024, were rotated. An application server restart was needed in order for the rotation of certificates to take effect. However, the restart did not happen as expected for a subset of PODs. This has resulted in legacy Apple Pay services not functioning for some customers.
Currently, Salesforce customers using legacy Apple Pay services will not be able to configure Apple Pay, and their customers will not be able to check out using Apple Pay.
Storefronts and Business Manager are working as expected.
We’ll provide an update in 30 minutes or sooner if additional information becomes available.
