There’s a Salesforce service feature degradation. During a feature degradation, some features are unavailable or run at less than optimal performance. We’re investigating the issue and an update will be provided in 30 minutes or sooner if we have more information.

Rolling restarts on the remaining impacted instances have commenced and are expected to take approximately two hours to complete.

We’ve completed a rolling restart on a test instance. Initial results indicate that the feature is now working as expected, but we are continuing to monitor the environment to ensure that the restart resolved the issue before proceeding with rolling restarts on the remaining impacted instances.

We implemented a fix, however, initial results indicate that it may not have resolved the issue. We are now performing rolling restarts for all impacted instances.

At 16:00 UTC, we noted a feature degradation impacting a subset of customers. The issue impacts organizations that have encryption enabled and have made changes to Salesforce CRM records after 16:00 UTC. The degradation results in non-indexable records and search failures, but only for those modified records within Salesforce CRM. The team is actively exploring multiple strategies to mitigate the issue and restore services as quickly as possible.

Upon further investigation, the Salesforce Technology team has determined that the start time of impact is different than initially understood. We have now revised the start time of the Trust post to more accurately reflect the time customers may have begun to experience impact. We apologize for any confusion caused by this.
