Salesforce experienced a feature disruption affecting the Shopper Agent chat-based assistant across multiple instances for 20.3 hours, preventing users from receiving responses and impacting AI-powered shopping assistance and product recommendations. The issue was caused by a permission configuration change in a recent release that affected 40+ components. The problem was resolved through an emergency release to restore the permission configuration, as a rollback was not viable due to database considerations.
