Encryption Service is Interrupted (Email Gateway Defense and Email Security Gateway Appliance)

This incident has been resolved.

The issue has a fix implemented and we are monitoring the system. The emails that failed the encryption service have been deferred and the sender server should retry automatically. However, if the sender receives an NDR (non-delivery report), then the sender will have to resend. No action required at this point, as the deferred emails are re-tried automatically.

Starting at 7pm (PT) last night the Encryption Service has been interrupted. If using Email Gateway Defense to send encrypted mail, you may see some intrruption in service. At this time we are investigating and we will update as soon as this is resolved.
